How to choose aesthetic clinic software
Try one complete workflow, from a consultation booking to the next appointment, before deciding from a feature list.
In this guide
Start with the work your clinic needs
Before a demo, list what your existing tools handle and what needs to change. A basic patient profile and a clinical record are separate things; having one does not establish the other.
- Business operations
- Appointments, basic patient profiles, sales, receipts, general product stock and reports. Check the work your team needs from the start.
- Clinical work
- Medical records, the doctor’s notes and visit images. Check what is provided, whether it is optional and who can access it.
Try the journey from consultation to the next visit
Use a fictional patient returning to discuss the same area. Ask reception, a doctor and the sales operator to try the handovers they would make in practice.
Book the consultation
Reception checks the patient, service, time and appointment owner. In AnyCura, an online booking request remains pending until the clinic confirms it.
Open the history and record the visit
Keep your current clinical system or paper records, or see records and images in a Medical Clinic demo. Agree where the original record is kept.
Record the sale and check products
Check the items paid for, issue a receipt and review relevant general product stock. Check medication and medical supplies separately within clinical scope.
Review reports and arrange the next visit
The operator checks sales; the team arranges the next appointment according to the doctor’s plan. Agree who follows up and where it is recorded.
Using both tools does not mean automatic integration or import. Assign responsibility and a way to cross-check information between tools before using them in practice.

Check records and images across visits
Aesthetic work may involve reviewing a previously treated area and the notes from that visit. Find the earlier record, open the relevant images and check which visit each belongs to.
With the optional Medical Clinic software, AnyCura stores images with their visit. Users with appropriate permissions can select two saved images to view side by side. The doctor assesses the information and treatment results.
Information to try opening in a demo
Earlier visit
- Doctor’s note about the treated area
- Saved image and visit date
Current visit
- This visit’s notes kept separately
- A second saved image selected for review
Know which visit an image belongs to
Check the selected image’s date and visit context. Ask the doctor to try documenting the relevant area; image analysis should not be assumed.
Separate viewing from editing permissions
Try reception and doctor accounts. Check who can open images, add them or edit notes, including the branches each account can access.

Check sales, stock and reports separately
A receipt records what was sold, a clinical record contains the doctor’s notes, and stock history records product movements. Check each using the same example rather than assuming every item connects automatically.
- Sales and receipts
- Sell a sample service and product. Check the items, payment and receipt, then ask how an incorrectly recorded sale is handled.
- Product stock
- Check quantity-tracking settings and stock history. Selling a service does not establish automatic deductions of medication or materials used during a procedure.
- Reports
- Reconcile the example sale with the reports you need. If accounting needs an export, check the available data and file formats.
Include changes and access limits in the demo
Choose one service and ask the team to demonstrate it using the intended account roles. Record what worked, what needs confirmation and what still uses your existing process.
When an appointment moves or is cancelled
Check the request status, confirmed appointment and availability after the change, as well as how your team will inform the patient.
When an account lacks permission
Try opening or changing restricted information. Ask how access is assigned; do not assume every account or branch can see the same clinical records.
When existing records stay in place
Agree what stays in each tool, who records it and how duplicates are checked. Confirm import scope, formats and steps before agreeing to a migration.
Separate subscription costs and activation conditions
An AnyCura Partners subscription covers business operations. Clinical software is optional, according to your needs and licence. Starting business tools does not require replacing your clinical records.

Questions
Can an aesthetic clinic use a general booking app?
Yes, for appointments if it fits the clinic’s workflow. Check clinical records and medical work separately. Use a booking tool alongside an existing clinical system or paper records when recording responsibilities and cross-checks are clear.
Do we need a clinic licence to use AnyCura?
Business tools do not require adding Medical Clinic software. Clinical software can be added after the relevant clinic licence is verified and the first AnyCura Partners payment is made.
Does pricing count every doctor in the clinic?
The clinic examples count doctors enabled for their own calendar appointments, rather than the full roster or appointments actually received. Reception and assistant accounts without their own appointment access add no person fee. Check the pricing page for current totals.
Must we migrate all old records first?
No. Start with business tools and retain existing clinical records. An import should not be assumed to be included automatically. Confirm supported data, formats and steps with the team before agreeing.
Does the free trial include clinical records and images?
No. The 30-day trial without a card covers business tools. Arrange a Medical Clinic demo for clinical records and image history, then confirm licence and add-on activation conditions with the team.
